MISS GAY FINGER LAKES
The Miss Gay Finger Lakes Pageant, a celebrated drag pageant based in New York, recently expanded its offerings to include a Mr. Gay Finger Lakes title alongside its long-standing Miss competition. To reflect this evolution, I led a complete brand refresh, beginning with a redesigned logo that unified both titles under a cohesive visual identity while maintaining the pageant’s signature elegance and recognizability.

MGFL Website Redesign
I redesigned the Miss Gay Finger Lakes (MGFL) website to better showcase their pageant offerings, which now include both Miss and Mr. categories. The new site features an updated, modern layout with clear navigation, a bold visual style, and responsive design for all devices. Key sections highlight their mission, reigning winners, event information, photo galleries, and an easy-to-use contact form — all aligned with the MGFL brand identity.
MGFL Welcome Sign
I designed this bold, high-impact welcome sign for the 2025 Miss Gay Finger Lakes pageant to greet contestants and set the tone for the event. Featuring reigning queen Daesha Richards in a striking feathered ensemble, the layout combines MGFL’s signature brand elements — rich purple and gold tones, the pageant’s crest, and modern typography — with dynamic photography. Printed at a large format, the design ensures visibility and excitement from a distance while staying consistent with the MGFL brand identity.

MGFL Contestant Website Banner
I designed this vibrant promotional banner to spotlight Kennedy Davenport, the latest winner of Miss Gay Finger Lakes and a celebrated RuPaul’s Drag Race alum. The design merges MGFL’s signature deep purple marbled background and gold accents with Kennedy’s bold, floral-inspired imagery, creating a high-contrast visual that commands attention. The typography hierarchy emphasizes her name while maintaining brand consistency, and the layout is optimized for web and social media use. The banner also incorporates key event details and ticket information, ensuring it works seamlessly as both a branding piece and a call-to-action.
MGFL Contestant Social Media Graphic
I created a series of bold and cohesive social media graphics to highlight each contestant for the Miss Gay Finger Lakes 2025 pageant, with this version featuring Kennedy Davenport. The design integrates MGFL’s marbled purple and gold brand palette with a dynamic split layout—pairing contestant photography with clear, high-contrast text for maximum readability on mobile. The “Official Contestant” script reinforces exclusivity, while consistent placement of event details and ticket information ensures each post doubles as both promotion and branding. This format was replicated across all contestants for a unified and professional event presence online.

MGFL 2025 Attendee Badge
I created a vibrant attendee badge for the Miss Gay Finger Lakes 2025 pageant, featuring reigning queen Daesha Richards set against MGFL’s signature marbled purple and gold backdrop. The design includes clear fields for attendee name and pronouns, ensuring visibility and inclusivity throughout the event. Bold “Good Luck to Our Contestants” messaging adds excitement, while event date, time, and venue details are cleanly displayed at the bottom for easy reference. The piece balances practical use with striking visual appeal, keeping the MGFL brand front and center.
MGFL 2024 Attendee Badge
I designed the 2024 attendee badge for the Miss Gay Finger Lakes pageant, spotlighting reigning queen Eva Flow in a regal gold-and-purple gown against a vibrant, swirling magenta and indigo backdrop. The layout includes large, clearly marked spaces for attendee name and pronouns, along with an encouraging “Good Luck to Our Contestants” banner. Event date, time, and location are prominently displayed for quick reference, while the bold MGFL crown branding reinforces the pageant’s identity. The overall design merges functionality with striking visual style, creating a keepsake-worthy piece for attendees.

MGFL Reigning Queen Photo Edit
I enhanced and expanded a close-up promo image of Daesha Richards, Miss Gay Finger Lakes, using a combination of Photoshop and AI-powered generative tools to reveal her full feather ensemble. The final composition showcases the striking mix of electric blue and deep purple plumes radiating outward, framing Daesha in a captivating burst of color and texture. This extended design preserved the realism and lighting of the original shot while providing the complete, high-impact visual needed for promotional materials and event branding.
MGFL Bar Poster
Designed an 11x17 event poster for display in bars and public venues to promote the Miss Gay Finger Lakes 2025 Pageant Competition & Drag Show. The design features bold gold and neon script typography layered over a rich purple-and-gold marbled background, paired with high-impact contestant photography. Headlining image showcases reigning Miss Gay Finger Lakes Daesha Richards in her vibrant feather ensemble, with circular framed portraits of competing entertainers: Cej Monet, Elizabeth Conde, Honey V Chewchew, Melina K. Londen, Katrina Twerk Island, and Kennedy Davenport. Clear event details, age restrictions, and ticketing info are positioned at the bottom for high visibility in nightlife settings.

MGFL Wine Bottle Label
Created a custom wine bottle label design for the Finger Lakes region’s Kisha Denise White Wine Blend. The label features a striking, high-contrast portrait of Kisha Denise, styled with vivid rainbow-hued makeup and gemstone accents emerging from a partially unzipped skin effect. Minimalist typography balances the bold central imagery with clean, all-caps “FINGER LAKES” at the top, “KISHA DENISE” in a custom outlined geometric font, and “WHITE WINE BLEND” in a sleek sans-serif beneath. Designed for visual impact on retail shelves and event tables, blending elegance with bold personality to celebrate the performer and the region.
MGFL Wine Bottle Label
Designed a bold, high-impact wine bottle label for a Riesling featuring Daesha Richards. The centerpiece is a vivid, high-contrast portrait with rainbow-hued makeup, a zipper face reveal, and gemstone accents that glow in vibrant colors. The composition is framed by vertical gradient typography reading “RIESLING” on the left and “DAESHA RICHARDS” on the right, using the same custom outlined font for visual cohesion. The MGFL logo and motto “Love. Ambition. Knowledge. Excellence. Solidarity.” sit in the top left, tying the product to the event’s identity. A deep black background allows the neon gradients and gemstone details to stand out, giving the label a sleek, luxurious, and modern presence.

MGFL Postcard Front
Designed a striking postcard front to officially welcome contestants to the 2025 Miss Gay Finger Lakes competition. The background features a rich marbled agate design in deep purples, golds, and black for a sense of prestige and luxury. On the right, a full-length, high-resolution image of Daesha Richards, Miss Gay Finger Lakes 2024, stands adorned in a voluminous purple feathered robe and jeweled crown, exuding elegance and confidence. Event branding appears in the upper left with the MGFL crown logo and “Miss Gay Finger Lakes 2025” in bold white type. The center text block reads “WELCOME OFFICIAL MGFL CONTESTANT!” in large white capitals for immediate impact. A small white caption beneath Daesha’s image provides her name and reigning title, completing the balance between visual drama and clear communication.
MGFL Postcard Back
Designed the reverse side of the contestant welcome postcard with a clean, functional layout optimized for mailing. The upper left corner features the MGFL crown logo alongside the organization’s core values — “Love. Ambition. Knowledge. Excellence. Solidarity.” — in bold purple text, reinforcing the pageant’s mission and branding. The remaining space is left open for recipient addressing, with nine evenly spaced purple horizontal lines on the right side providing a neat guide for handwritten or printed text. The design keeps ample white space for postal compliance while maintaining the signature MGFL visual identity through color, typography, and iconography.

MGFL Sash and Medal Mockup
Created a realistic mockup showcasing the official Mr. Gay Finger Lakes 2025 regalia. The design features a crisp white satin sash emblazoned with the event title “Mr Gay Finger Lakes 2025” in bold gold lettering, symbolizing prestige and achievement. Paired with the sash is a gold medallion featuring the MGFL crown logo at its center, suspended from a royal purple ribbon that reinforces the brand’s signature color scheme. The composition highlights the elegance and ceremonial significance of the pageant’s awards, ensuring both items reflect the sophistication and legacy of the MGFL title.
MGFL Sash and Crown Mockup
Designed a high-impact mockup showcasing the official Miss Gay Finger Lakes 2025 regalia. The piece features an intricate silver rhinestone crown with a luminous, multi-tiered design, catching the light to emphasize elegance and prestige. Accompanying the crown is a pristine white satin sash with “Miss Gay Finger Lakes 2025” printed in bold purple lettering, reflecting the MGFL’s signature color palette. The layout balances glamour with brand consistency, presenting the title regalia as a symbol of honor, achievement, and tradition within the MGFL pageant legacy.
